Google mail, often referred to as Gmail is a type of Google
account, though there are 4 types of Google account. As Google’s product
offering grows, they repeatedly change the name of the account types and
services. If you’ve signed into any of the 4 products before, you already have
a Google account.
Gmail account is a free Google account with an Email address
ends in “@gmail.com”. Gmail account arrived on the scene back in 2004. You can sign up for Gmail here.
USEFULNESS OF GMAIL ACCOUNT
- Gmail can be used to send and receive mail messages.
- Gmail can be used to chat with friends in your circle.
- You can send instant messages to your contacts that are online, quickly and easily.
- Gmail can be used to send and receive attached messages like, pictures, videos, music and files like, document, resumes (CV) etc. Allows up to 20MB of file size.
- You can wish to have two accounts on a social network like Facebook, after which your Yahoo mail has been registered, Gmail can be used instead.
- The main usefulness that brought me to writing this article is that, without having a Gmail account, I won’t be able to post this article on blogger blog. It’s this Gmail account you use to sign up on blogger.

There are some little terms you need to know, if you have a Gmail account;
- CIRCLES: Circle makes it easy to share the right thing with the right people, just like in real life. You can share things with close friends, family and almost nothing with your boss. It lets you filter what people are sharing and get notified when people in your life make a post. So, you can catch up with close ones.
Circles have an easy way to organize the
people you know in real life. Google gives you a few circles to start out with,
and you can create new circles for even more flexibility.
- GOOGLE+: Google+
profile is where your friends can find you. It lets you organize your friends
and acquaintance to interact with each social group.
In your Google_ profile, you can add a
profile picture for who might recognize you, share a few details about
yourself.
HOW YOUTUBE IS RELATED TO GOOGLE ACCOUNT
Youtube is a popular website that gives internet users a
chance to broadcast videos made or found on the web. Also, it can be used to
watch videos online and upload your own videos.
You must have a valid Google account to sign in to Youtube.
If you are already signed into your Google account on a different Google
source, you will be automatically signed in when you visit Youtube as well.
Deleting your Google account will results to deleting your Youtube account
also.
The internet researchers perform a lot of work. What made me
concluded to this is, as at writing this article, I made a little research
which wanted to bore me but I did not give up. With all my researches, this is
the little I could gather.
